I would like to start doing little Mini-Posts/ Micro-blogging on Wednesdays 🙂 I’d like to publish longer posts once a week, but keep you interested with little tidbits in between the big posts, thus, we now have Work-In-Progress Wednesday! I would like to share with you some of the projects or shop orders that I’m working on, and if you’re a creative of some kind, feel free to share what you’re working on, as well!
So, on to my current work-in-progress…well, I should say WORKS-in-progress…but knitters never reveal how many projects they haven’t finished…right?! Well, maybe they do, but I really don’t feel like digging them all out right now, for fear of a huge mess and a small amount of shame! HA!
So, a friend needed some last-minute help with her 3-month-old’s Halloween costume, because as a first-time knitter, using a loom, she needed help with the ‘details’ like eyes, nose and antennae…non-loom pieces. I agreed to help her, as she was almost done knitting her a hat, only to find out (since babies grow so fast!) that after working on the hat for about a month, that the hat was no longer going to fit on the her sweet baby’s head! Eek.
So. I knew what to do, having the perfect color of red yarn on hand. We measured her baby’s head and tonight I will be making her hat for her Halloween costume.
Can you guess what it’s going to be?
Here’s a hint: it’s very hungry 🙂
The red yarn is for the hat, the yellow and green circle will be one of the eyes and the purple yarn is for the antennae.
Guess! Guess! Guess!
It’s a wonderful children’s book 🙂
Okay, here it is 🙂
For the ‘body’ of the caterpillar, she will be swaddling her baby in a green stripy blanket. Oh it’s going to be precious!
Can’t wait to show you the finished product next Wednesday! See you then!
